I could see the light at the end of the painting tunnel, and needed some extra inspiration for pushing forward. Right now, I am tackling the kitchen, which can be more tedious than the other rooms. If you don’t know how to install a clothes rod, it is a simple process and comes in handy when you need a quick solution for hanging clothes. Simple brackets like the ones used in this project are cheap, and follow the same steps as a shelf installation. Decorative wall coat racks can easily cost $50 or more. I wanted to put a coat rack near the door of my home without breaking the budget, and started looking at my options. Buying one was out of the question, and the time to woodwork a coat rack myself just wasn’t realistic. So, I did what any good DIYer does. I went to IKEA, and made my own IKEA hack. Even better, it takes under 30 minutes to build.
